@Benjamin_cook Really agree with this weeks Becoming Youtube, I rarely watch TV anymore and when I do, it’s online. There’s probably only two shows I’ll actually tune in to watch on my TV or Live awards shows, but even now there are websites online streaming whatever it is right when it’s time for it come on the air. There really isn’t a need for all of the over priced 900 channels that digital cable offers now, does anyone still use Pay Per View? Even the movie stores are having trouble making sales since there’s a RedBox down the street or Netflix in your house. Since Blockbuster has closed down, I think there’s only one actually video store in my home town, with a build board says “Smiles Are Free”. I’m actually sitting here thinking is it even worth going to the movie theater alone paying $10 to see The Hangover 3 or wait until someone on my tumblr puts it up. I think another way to start saving money is when the shows I have to watch on TV have a season break, just turn off the cable until they come back on the air. The point is maybe the reason so many shows can’t stay on the air or last but for 1 season before being cancelled is the lack of views due to not watching it live at the moment but instead watching it much later on the internet, or it could of just been a really shitty show. Television itself is just how the radio was before black and white television appeared, and Youtube is that new black and white entertainment.
